Medicine requires diversity – gender medicine and personalised medicine
Health thrives on diversity! An event organised by Medical Valley EMN e.V. and Healthcare Frauen e.V. highlighted why this is the case. Among others, Dr Lisa Deloch and psychologist Björn Süfke spoke on the topic of gender medicine.
Gender medicine is the key to personalised care that takes individuality seriously.
The event “Health Needs Diversity”, organised and run by Medical Valley in collaboration with Healthcare Frauen, demonstrated just how important this is. Lively discussions, questions put to experts and an in-depth exchange between participants made it clear that this topic still holds great potential and must absolutely be taken forward.
Judith Gerlach, Bavarian Minister of State for Health, Care and Prevention and patron of the event, also emphasised in her video message how essential joint commitment is in this regard.
Björn Süfke drew attention to the challenges facing men’s health, whilst Lisa Deloch added the perspective of radiotherapy.
The evening was rounded off with insights into politics, business, health insurance providers and self-help groups during a panel discussion featuring Tamara Plank, Herna Muñoz-Galeano, Julia Zink and Martina Stamm-Fibich.
